32 Bit OS can handle 3072 MB RAM (Graphical & System RAM together)
Also if you have 3072 MB RAM + 1 GB Graphical you can use 2 GB RAM and 1 GB Graphical.

    i had/have this problem. i have vista ultimate 32bt..

it crashes easy if you keep turning features on/off.
eg lose a life try and stop/restart trainer alot = crash

i noticed if you turn trainer(life num 1) off while dying (cut-sceen before restart msg),
then wait for game to reload (hospital or loaded saved game),
then restart trainer(life num 1), it doesn't crash that often.

As stated in trainer read me, game checks code for changes
so less detected changes = hopefully no crash.
    hope this helps.

By the way try to turn crosshair to simple and not complex and it will work better.

I would explain it exactly if my english would be better.
Anyway if you change something in your registry that it shows you have 4GB it just can adress 3GB also you can't use 1 GB.

    Physical Address Extension?

32-bit Windows (specifically 32-bit Windows, as some 32-bit OS's limit RAM at higher quantities) can address just about 3.5GB in total, accounting for everything such as graphics RAM. Thus, less system RAM detection. PAE in Windows x86 can extend memory addressing to some 64GB, and 1024GB in x64, IIRC. Overkill for all but the most resource hungry dedicated servers. The possibility is that 32-bit Windows can address approximately 3.75GB, flappy has a 256MB video card and 3.5GB of system RAM, without PAE.

Assuming you have 3 or more gigabytes of RAM, the -availablevidmem commandline command can really help improve performance, as GTA IV was horribly ported onto the PC. -availablevidmem 2.0 would effectively allow 256MB, 512MB, or however much video RAM you have to be allocated into the system RAM, so you can turn up the settings without texture glitching. It's just about the most helpful commandline trick in GTA IV.
