With the latest update to this game have they disabled achievements if you use cheats?
As i just finished the "oasis" quest thing and had used a setav cheat, the achievment unlocked box popped up ,but when i go into my live profile it didnt add the points to my score and theres no date by the actual achievement in my list?
I need to know coz i wanna repair my alien raygun weapon as i REALLY love that gun! but at the same time i don't wanna not get any more achievments!
anyone know?

As far as I know this is the case for all Windows Live games that have achievements - if you use a cheat then it disables the achievements.

One thing to try is picking up the item, repairing it, then quicksave. Quit out (completely back to desktop), restart and load the quicksave but don't reactivate the cheat. Sometimes that allows you to use a cheat without screwing up the achievements.

Personally I don't care about achievements so it doesn't bother me, but it's worth a go.

Fallout 3 is the exception to that rule. NO achievements are blocked in fallout 3 with cheating.

And if the Achievement Unlocked box popped up then the achievement was glitched. happens rarely but does happen.

try to load a save right before you finished the quest and redo it. or use the unlock achievement cheat.

ok, erm..what unlock achievement cheat?

That's odd, because the only 3 achievements I got in FO3 were when I had no cheats active.

For example, I have the "Big Trouble in Big Town" achievement, but not the "Escape" achievement. I've completed the entire main story line and got no further achievements apart from the three I got near the start.

I know the later ones I wouldn't have got because I disabled GFWL so it wouldn't interfere with the trainer but I played a good third of the game with it active.

Maybe I'll try restarting the game from scratch and and see what happens...

The only difference between you seems to be that neok is in the US whereas the guys with the achievement issue seem to be from elsewhere, like the UK...................
