Some Achievement Help... on Call of Duty: World at War XBox 360 Message Board - Page 1

Purple Heart (5 G)

To Unlock this achievement you must die at least 10 times in one mission.

Gunslinger (15 G)

You must assassinate General Amsel with a pistol. You can get pistol when you are a building where you killed a sniper, pistol is on that table in that room, where you had to kill a sniper, you should get 20 ammo. To get this achievement you must shoot him in the head.

More Tips: When General Amsel is so far that his driver comes with his car, kill his driver before General Amsel is getting in. Then he will come out and starts running, and try to shoot him in the head.

Ruthless (15 G)

On "Ring of Steel" when coming out of the Asylum you will see 2 tanks a lot, go near the first and go on the tank's MGs and start killing German soldiers.

gunslinger is better to shoot him while he is the car so don't shoot the driver he runs faster than the car

Yer i am having getting the achievment some of all hereoes (shoot 40 planes in black cats) i am really stuck i have tred not saving any survivors but i jsut get like 30-35.

Difficlut: Recruit.
On the start when many zeroes will come, start shooting at them and try to kill many as possible.

If you miss some planes then reload the Chekpoint.

i have done all the achievements except the two 0 gamerscore ones because i dont play online much but achievement tip if you run out of pistol ammo tryin to kill Amsel switch to your sniper and switch back to your pistol you should reload the pistol and have over 80 bullets left

Yeah it took me about 8 tries to finally take out 45 Japanese Zeros. I ended up with 46 and also got two other achievements along with The Sum of All Zeroes. One was Throw A Six and a Half which is done by completing a level on hardcore or veteran so for that achievement fo it on Black Cats because its less likely that you'll die, and the other was complete Black Cats on veteran difficulty.

Heres a tip for people still trying to get The Sum of All Zeroes: instead of aiming the turrets reflectors, just shoot without aiming because it will be more accurate and be sure to shoot in the enemies path. When on the front turret just use the machine gun and save the cannons for the last part, which is when you will have to shoot like crazy at the planes. If you fail, save and quit then resume game.
