And to everyone else, please don't pirate games, especially PC games. I work for a large publisher and believe me when I say piracy really is going to kill PC gaming, not because publishers and studios will go out of business but because they'll simply stop making PC games and instead just make console games.
One of the reasons this game was such a turkey on PC is because the publisher is not going to spend a fortune converting it to PC (a much more difficult job than many assume) when they know as many as 90% of the people playing it will have ripped it off instead of paying for it.
That 90% figure isn't something I've just pulled out of my arse either - I've seen the figures from my own company and it's true - every PC game released these days can expect piracy in the region of 90%. That means for every ten people playing, nine stole the game without paying for it. This is why there's no Gears 2 on PC. Epic have stated quite clearly they're not making PC games any more because of piracy.
I'm asking people not to pirate games not because I work for a games publisher but because I love playing games, and if things carry on as they are there will be no new PC games at all and we'll be lucky to get shoddy ports like this. I've seen people claiming they pirate games to "teach the industry a lesson", well here's a newsflash - the only people the pirates are hurting is you, the game playing public because if it carries on the way it is, you may as well all sell your PCs and go out and buy consoles, because that will be the only way to play games.
