I've just started enjoying exploding super mutants and making soldiers of brotherhood to ashes that game just finished. Well I think the game was very short. I started playing it just four days ago and now it's finished? Forget it. Let's talk about the way it ended. We have to die at the end of the story? Without seeing wasteland turning to a place of life again? Is it really satisfying? I really didn't enjoy the ending. the funny thing is where we are asked to go inside that thing and activate that purifier thing, when we ask our ghoul friend -Was his name Hawkins?- to go inside and activate it ('cause he's immuned to radiation), he just rejects saying "I'm not gonna change your fate.". Is that it? Maybe I should've left you in that room. Just move it in and activate it ghoul, then we can all live.
A very enjoying thing was the weapon I was using. AJ's Plasma Gun. Just perfect.
What's your comments?

i agree dont like that kind of sacrifice one has to make in order to resore the world to it's beauty... somehow games compare a lot to the ancient greek tragedies
you know... having a hero that you can identify with (building and evolving him the way you want) watching him go through some serious sh** friends turn into enemys betrayal misery pain etc.
but at the end you want it to be a happy end! after all a hero should overcome all odds you know... beating the badguys, getting his revenge saving the girl, stuff like that... you dont want him to die!
well no matter how good i am, i would not sacrifice my own life (besides i would rather beat the crap out of the ghoul till he does it since he would not even be in danger)
stupid ghouls i will kill em all! starting with the ones that want to get in tennpeny tower.

The ending reminds me of those american films, where a person or more sacrifice their lives, BUT there's always a happy ending.
Yawn * This Star Wars avatar is very good for my nickname: just look at that iron! Creepy.

I think it was the most half- ed ending ever. Okay, maybe not THAT bad, but certainly one of the worst ever.
My main complaint was the whole Fawkes thing. I got him this far, make him do it! Then we can all live happily (not) ever after. But nooooooo, somebody HAS to die. That brings it home to the player what an evil world this is.
No. Not really.
Because none of us, here, will ever have to make that decision. Which means I can sit here and laugh at the ending and not feel bad about it.
Bethesda failed with the end of Fallout 3.
