So you all know if you use the trainer online in multiplayer which some people have said works you will be reported by other players and Microsoft will ban you. And this is how MS does this:

Your LIVE account will be banned from LIVE. any points you have will be voided as you will never be able to sign onto LIVE again.

The CD-Key for the game will be made invalid and the game will not be able to be played online again.

Additionally some people who's PC accounts get banned have also had their xbox's banned as well. when an Xbox is banned it can never connect to LIVE again.

so please take this into consideration and NEVER use a trainer for multiplayer even if it works.

Well then I guess its a good thing that CH doesn't support the use of MP trainers.

Just like any other game online, gaining an advantage over other players through 3rd party programs is illegal

See its stuff like this that reminds me never to invest in an Xbox. Lots of good titles but way WAY too many touchy whiny souls over at microsoft.

Cheating at multi player games shouldn't be considered terrible and hideous. It should get you labeled as a cheater (say an account flag) that way people kick you, pester you, or use you for the new target drone..whatever. After enough of it you'll stop cheating and somehow clean your 'cheater' flag and get back into playing within the rules again.

I know, their property their rules. I just think with all thats going on in todays world company's should worry less about cheaters and more about quality, economy and all that. Esp with people buying less titles due to the income issues. *shrugs*

I myself do not use the online feature. Lol i dont have the reaction time anymore to keep up with 13 year olds with lightning fast reflexes. :P

You can't cheat online with an xbox unless you have a modded console. and modded consoles are not able to go online.

If you do go online with a modded console you get banned till the year 9,999. Why? because modded consoles are ILLEGAL.

if you cheat to up your achievement score your labeled as a cheater and your gamerscore is erased.

HOWEVER. Microsoft views trainers on multiplayer matches the same as a modded console because you are modifying the game code and there for will possibly ban you.

It is good that microsoft does this to keep it fair play for everyone.

Guys, while I vehemently despise the use of cheating versus other people, please be careful with the use of the word "illegal", there are no, I repeat -=NO=- legal ramifications of modifying a console and/or cheating in online games.

The service provider can perfectly well respond with denial of service, which per the terms of the End User Licensing Agreement, you accept as a plausible and likely punishment for breaking the rules to the game that they have set for those participating in it.

Saying something is illegal implies either criminal or civil liability that can be acted upon in court leading to fines, punishment, and pursuit of damages as a result of not playing fair. The last of the three, even in the most extreme cases of people actually forcibly hacking into a network and actually causing damage would actually not be a punished for the offense of "cheating" in the game, and the pursuit of the guilty party would be on the grounds of breaking numerous FCC laws and regulations completely unrelated to the actual game which was the end reason for the criminal act that was used to do it.

Modding a console for instance is not in and of itself illegal, but it quite typically voids any warranties on the console being modified of course, but simply opening a game console and soldering in a security bypass for instance is not going to be grounds for either public or civil action to be taken against you. You've taken it upon yourself to do as you will with your property so long as you haven't illegally acquired the console in the first place, and you don't intend on using the console for independently illegal activity such as theft of games or using the console in the act of cyber crime(s) like willfully disrupting services for instance. Stealing a game is a crime, however disabling features of a console, even those intended for security, is not illegal.

I don't see the issue with using trainers on single player, since it only affects you, but on multiplayer games, thats just lame.

Does it have to be reported or is it like Steam and detected?

I wouldn't mind using the trainer over LAN to kill my brother with, but I don't want to get banned.
