I know you guys are having a bit of trouble working on a trainer. I was on gtagaming.com last night and they posted up links to hacks that bypass the game checking whether or not the files in the game are the originals, allowing you to edit them. Perhaps this hack might help you all get a working trainer going. I'm not real clear on what a trainer modifies as far as files go, but perhaps it'd help out. Just thought I'd give my two cents and let ya'll know.

Removing the integrity checks on the data files it uses doesn't have any use for a trainer though

i am sorry to have to agree with fisker-
if there is a way to modify your health from 200 float to 200000 float with modifying the file then that might be useful to try, or changing the starting money from a mission to $2000000 or making the cost of the sunglasses -$20000000 (i.e. gives you money instead of taking it). i haven't looked at that angle and perhaps that might be something that can be done.
trainers live in the world of realtime memory (the data is already loaded into memory), which unfortunately at that point we are fighting the live.dll instead of the .exe file integrity checks.
thanks for the info though. we are happy to take any ideas or info that might help us to create something.
i spent another 3 or so hours again on this game. i have made progress on finding code locations, but as i said before, rockstar is using embedded xlive functions that makes separating the data and modifying it nearly impossible (i don't want to talk about this here too much for many reasons). as i stated before, they are actually (seemingly) targeting the methods we use to make trainers, almost identically to what we normally do.
thanks again. i appreciate the community atmosphere here and the way that members are trying to come up with solutions and ideas-
