its not the graphics the people are complaining about, i mean, the graphics in this game are very good, the thing they are complaining about is how there are a lot of bugs, and that even people with really high end systems can't run the game as well as they should.
But i buy a new suit everytime i see a perseus and the gunstore.
there are 3 ways to make easy money.
ATM:
If you stop by a ATM, some places there are two atms at the same place, one on each side of the road, stay there and wait for people to get money, kill them and pick up the money. This is slow but it works early in the game.
Stevies car theft:
After you have done all the missions for stevie you can turn in cars in stevies garage for money, this is the fastest way in the game to get money for sure.
Bank job:
I dont remember when but theres a mission where you rob a bank for alot of money.
This is all what i remember from the ps3 verson of GTA IV.
Toxicbillygoat: Unfortunately,you're right personnally i'm stuck with bowling and pool (i can launch bowling ball but it's not precise cause i need to shake the mouse REALLY hard to have a result (the positive side is that it's gonna be fixed in the patch)) There are also sometime trouble with certains cars (happened once but i had a cavalcade fxt that was jumping when turning :lol
Also, i noticed problem (but might be isolated since i've got some trouble with my system), after 3hours, i've got the textures/objects/buildings that start to dissapear...
Sauced: True, Stevie and the bank (BTW,it's around the middle of the game,after you finished the mission for Elisabetha, you have the call from Packie(and from what i remember, it's the third mission for him)) are the best way to make money, also the last mission gives you a lot of money (no matter which one you choose, in one you receive money before the wedding (not saying who's wedding ,so it's not a real spoiler) and in the other you receive after (as result of the final mission)
you can also avoid spending money on weapons (that can cost a lot) by taking those you can find on the street (my way personnally...i'm almost at the bank and i've got 70-80000$)
Too bad there isn't enough way to spend the money (like in SR2 or GTA SA) but still, if it's moddable (and apparently,there is a chance it will be from what i saw yesterday), i'll make ways to spend my money

One thing that might be taxing is the clip capture for the in-game video editor. There's an option to turn it off under game > clip capture but this setting is only available during gameplay. You can't access it from the main menu.
I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes but performance seems to be a bit better now that I've turned it off.
How are you guys measuring the FPS? I'm curious to see if I'm just imagining things or not.
marc0171 : who is? if you mean where is the gunstore, if you just began, wait a few mission and you'll have access to it... However, there is a "who"...Little jacob will sell you guns (for an excellent price) when you reach a certain level of friendship
rich_is_bored: i'll give it a try For the Framerate, you can use Fraps :www.fraps.com/ personnally, when i said over 45, it's an estimation from what i can see with other games (+ benchmark is over 50fps)
I played it with highest settings and it is just porno
Most problems atm. are that most problems with graphic are based on drivers. With new Beta Driver from nvidia you can force AA & AAF so it is much better.
laptop but still manages to play it on with 9-15fps.
