Grand Theft Auto 4 (GTA 4) Message Board  

I use the special keys on my logitech G15 keyboard to enter the cheats. (in fact the sequence of the keys I have to press to enter the code)

Just one note: I do use Pointers.

I have used pointers in all of the GTA series but cannot alter the values.

Simply I just wonder why they would make it so you can't cheat, are hack the program, you don't get anything special or win anything by beating the game. And since we the consumers have bought the game shouldn't we have the choice to cheat or not.

Besides if people want to hack or mod the game, don't this mean people will continue to play it, increasing its replay ability, or couldn't it be token as a sign that the game has popularity if it is being modded, with all the other games available wouldn't they be happy to see people put that kind of effort into messing with it.

It's kinda like MP3's the artists don't like to lose money to piracy but at the same time it makes a lot of them happy to know they have the fan base out there, Just cause someone doesn't pay for the album doesn't mean they wouldn't pay for concert tickets and memorabilia.



Also could the majority of the issues stopping a trainer from happening due to the fact that its a port over, and that maybe the way the console uses it's memory could be quite different then the pc? Not sure if this is the case but to me it would kinda make sense

well, to get a descent trainer, they first have to get the game working in a descent way

the trainer is going to take much time yet?
because just got release the patch and the trainer for the first version is not release yet.

The HUGE trainer-making crew of CheatHappens has a little bit of catching up to do, plus GTA's a stubborn one.

Just consider the reputation it would bring the first crew that puts this game in its place. Phew!
Something tells me Cal's on it.

If you read the earlier messages in this thread, you would know that Cal have his hands full with family matters right now.
