I just want to say to pwiz and cal, do NOT feel rushed......

TAKE YOUR TIME

To my knowledge there are right now thousands of people who are going through hell even trying to install this game, and you guys are trying to make a trainer for it!

Pwiz and cal...you guys are doing a great job

If it even takes a week for you guys to make a trainer for this game........dont worry, you have my support

For the people who feel it necessary to rush them.........how about you go make yourself useful and try to help the thousands of people who are having trouble installing this game since you obviously seem to have it working

oh? was it so hard then? i just clicked a few times and it went on a roll itself... whats so hard on the installing then

I had problems but fixed my problem.......

Basically there was a conflict with what the gta cd was trying to install on my computer vs what was already on my computer

all i did was uninstall my old netframework and install the new one...this bit of information may prove helpful....no i didnt have to upgrade to xp service pact 3 and all that crap people were saying....it was something soo small and simple....

I suggest you all not over look the small stuff..... try uninstalling

well it did not exactly help me ...but it pointed me in the right direction after i tweaked a lil bit....again this problem is not for everyone



Instead of going into the steam folder ( because i bought the actual retail cd )
i instead went to my computer and opened up the cd and looked around in there

then common, Installers

Then open the dotnetfx3 and install that. This fixed my problem

Thanks for the suggestion, but that didn't work either. BSOD. :sigh:

This is getting ridiculous ... I've spent far too many hours working on this.

well as first you have to have VISTA SP1 or XP SP3
thats basics.

the only problem i want to see solved is the damn configurator,
i have the 2nd best fastest card there is on the moment, and i cant even go full effects, whats with that...
and the -norestrictions thingy doesnt work eather..

can i just ask are people having problems on both XP and Vista operating systems? or is it just XP? gave up with XP because contrary to popular belief it actually has major conflictions with a lot of new games... whether this is because game developers don't test it properly on XP i don't know but that seems to be the case...

the only problem I had - was to get the freakin' game in Russia =)) now I have my copy, silently waitin' for a trainer
