Don't be a slave to bogus systems and all that. Imo, ranks are like gamerscores. Cool to look at, but purely ornamental. They can't get you anything but bragging rights, which in the end, doesn't really amount to much. <_<
And yes, I'd be saying the same thing if I were a level 50 super captain king general too.
