Did you read my last post at all?
I said I didn't want a promotion. The topic of the post was that people are literally ASKING for promotions to get noticed by the other users in order to get themselves a promotion. That is just disgusting in my honest opinion.
Again, reference to a boss. You don't go to your boss every day to ask if you can get a raise or a promotion. You'd probably get demoted, even fired. The boss shouldn't have to be asked on whether you can get a promotion either. Promotions should take work, hard effort. You have to get noticed. You can't sit around and then beg for a promotion.
So, to say it again, people asking for promotions is, for me, quite arrogant. I don't know about you or anyone else, but if I were boss of some company and someone asked me for a promotion, I'd personally kick them out the door.
AND that was my last post of the day. Way to go me.
...that brings up another point. Quite a few users ignore that post limit completely...and if I can recall, yosup, you are a repeat felon.
At below: And yet you've done it on multiple occasions, yet you are getting promotions. If somebody broke the rules repeatedly, I wouldn't consider promotions at all. Not saying it has to be spot on 100% of the time, but it definitely isn't something to get promoted over.
IMO this whole ranking system makes no sense at all, as does the post count. If people are getting promotions by breaking the rules and begging/asking/whatever you call it, I just say the post limit be removed regardless.

Ryan-, the system works. Let the system do its work. It's called a democratic hierarchy. With a dictator at the top. It's all a bit of fun and I think you may just be taking it a little to serious.
The rank system is supposed to promote people over a long period of time and as their posts improve. yosup used to be a spammer, but he's a better member now and as such deserves occaisional promotions. I used to be a spammer, do you want to take my rank away from me? Stop being silly. The ranks are there to reward people for being active or posting well, or to punish them for being moronic.
If people act well they'll be promoted, simple as that.
Darthy, I'll promote you...at some point. Once I can find the post in which I said that.
