Europa Universalis: Rome - Vae Victis Message Board  

Hi there,

The trainer for Vae Victis does not seem to be able to find the game.
I run the trainer, then the game (EU:R Vae Victis 2.0), then press F1 (like I always did so far with CH trainers), only to hear "trainer could not find game".

Does the new trainer work for anyone?

I'm having the same issue. Did you buy yours from GamersGate like i did? We might need the no-cd patch as this is made for the retail game. Dunno if the no-cd patch would be out yet however...


EDIT** I've just checked and there isnt any no-cd fixes out yet..might have to wait a few days

I have the retail version of Europa Universalis Rome,
And did purchase Vae Victis off GamersGate, and am anaware of another option of getting the expansion (other than perhaps in an illegal fashion).

EDIT: There are no no-cd fixes for the Europa Universalis series, as the series never required any.
For all Paradox's games, you don't need the CD in to play.

Same issue. Original Rome installed off CD, Vae Victis from GamersGate.

There are no-cd files for the EU series, i found a load for various EU games,by no-cd i mean the executable file has been edited. Although you are right and that paradox games generally dont need the cd after install, they still can have have fixed exe (aka no-cd) out there, which i believe is what we shall need, since the executable file usually is different for downloaded versions of games compared to retail games.
This is why this trainer is ONLY for retail versions and not for downloaded versions, different exe.

But Vae Victis can only be bought through Gamer's Gate.
It's only a 9MB install.
No one will put it on a disc, that would be a huge waste. :P
