How do you tell which version of Spore you are running? I downloaded a patch prior to switching back to Windows XP and when I went back I neglected to notice what version I downloaded. I've downloaded the second and third patch but neither seem to be working right. Help someone.

don't know if it is still the same as it was when i played but try this:

find the main executable (sporeapp.exe i think)
right click it, select properties
in the menu select the version tab
the file version line should tell you what version you have patched to (or at least it did when i played spore)

note that this doesn't work with all games. it depends on how the games are patched.
