Call of Duty: World at War Message Board  

I also see a lot of people saying that this game is about as good as CoD 4 if not better. It seems to get mixed reviews and I understand your point. I still think I'm going to buy it, and having played the CoD 4 campaign I can compare that much to it. Even though I don't own CoD 4. I guess I'll find out.

It's worth buying.

I believe it and Fallout 3 are my top choices at the moment.

Same type of balls to the wall action as CoD4.

It is very gritty and atmospheric. The sounds and effects are great.
I'm running everything on max at 1920x1200 with 4xAA and 8xAF and it looks and runs beautifully.

Far Cry 2
Fallout 3
Brother's in Arms Hell's highway
Sacred 2
World at War


So far, I've finished Crysis Warhead, Hell's Highway and Sacred 2.

World at War will be getting all my attention. I have maybe played Dead Space, Far Cry 2 and fallout 3 for a total of 30 minutes each.

I've heard great things about this game and that they also put alot more time into the detail and mappings

I am still on the fence about this one. I can't seem to see consistant reviews. Maybe I'll pick this one up in a month or so, when the price goes down.
