Far Cry 2 Message Board  

I just bought Farcry2 and installed it, and all I get is this screen that says Could not write license data! Contact customer support for more info. It hasn't asked me for my cd key yet or anything, real pain in the balls. Any gurus out there that can help?

Make sure you firewall isn't blocking FarCry2 or anything related to it. FC2 activates your game by connecting to an internetserver and then you have to give your Key for it to activate. If your firewall is blocking any transmission you could get that error.

At least, that's what I think.

a cracked game exe should fix the problem

I hear ya. I brought the game back where I bought it and they basically just gave me another one. I will now just download bootlegs. I know its not my laptop thats the problem, I have a pretty new Alienware area 51 9750 that is made for gaming, but somehow when i just dl pirated games they seem to work just friggin fine. So put me down as Bluebeard.

Well I just removed vista from my comp and loaded up xp, and guess what? Farcry2 installs and runs without any friggin problems!! Go figure.
