I did some snooping around on the net, and I found a fix to get the console to appear for Vista user

Our Fallout 3 Trainer is now available and supports STEAM. Our Fallout 3 message board is available to provide feedback on our trainers or cheats.

I have the same problem. I did at one time have the IR receiver hooked up but I uninstalled it. I still cannot pull up the console in Vista. Driving me nuts. I even tried to plug the IR back in and uninstall again. No good.

Take a look at the second post in the list. This could possibly be a solution for some people, even though it did not work for me, it did for some.

WOO HOO! Thank you very much. That fixed my problem. I have searched for weeks for anything beyond the IR drivers.

As a side note. I love the people that acted like we were idiots because we could not bring the console up! It was NOT as simple as hitting the ~ key.
