Im currently running 2 evga 8800 gts 640md in sli and when i run it is direct x10 mode everything looks amazing but after about 30 mins the whole game crashes im using the 178.13 drivers any ideas out there

try updating to the latest nvidia beta drivers, that'd be 180.43

they were actually released specifically for far cry 2 and they're working great for me.

I'm having issues with DX10 as well. I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 bit, ATI 4870 card with newest 8.10 drivers. Game plays fine for about an hour, then a few artifacts pop up and them it bombs out to the desktop almost immediately after the artifacts.

In another post we were thinking this was an ATI specific issue, now it's looking like a FC2 / DX10 problem...

Same problem! I have also installed the ATI hotfix for far cry 2!

Link <- For those who got FC2 and an AMD gpu!

I play nice for about 1-2hour and than crash to desktop(Only once or twice whit artifacts! Usual no reason at all...)
