On Virmire, when playing on a harder difficulty. I'm having trouble getting past the Krogan Breeding Grounds. This is right after the bomb is being planted and you go back for Kaiden/Ashley, also before the Saren fight. Anyways I was wondering if anyone had a certain strategy to beat them. I can't stand fighting the Krogan, they always heal and on this particular part there's a bunch of Krogan Battlemasters and a few of those Geth that jump from the ceilings and can one hit kill you.
If you have it, keep spamming Immunity on yourself as soon as you get it, and charge your shields as soon as you can. Put two cooling thingys (if I could remember the name I'd say) on the assault rifle and install inferno rounds...this will insure that your gun doesn't overheat, no matter what.
Just keep trying at them, and if they get too close to you, punch them. Sometimes they will go flying down. Also, use your teammates' abilities, like levitate, to keep the krogan as far as possible.
I beat Mass Effect on the hardest difficulty it's got awhile ago, just remember, cover is key to surviving...let those shields recharge and use the medi-gel wisely
Yeah, you can actually kind of cheat by killing someone and running away recharging and hiding, haha.
Well, to be fair your squad is pretty well useless in tough fights. Keep them equipped up with yourself too, weapons, everything. My first play-through I went through half of the game before doing that lol.
Shotgun in close is deadly, equip those poisonous rounds, they do major damage

Well, I know all this now. I just didn't know that immunity prevented one hit kills.
