the mentioned 1.2gb come from the GraphicsCache.package, wich has the size of 1gb . . .
i wonder if EA changes the management for those files in future updates.
i cant think of any reason to keep clogging up the harddrive with stuff thats not necessary.
I noticed that there is a setting in the preferences that allow you set the maximum size of this thing, so it looks as if it does get cleaned up -- once you get to the maximum size. I guess if you set the max size of this thing down by half, you wouldn't notice much difference in performance.
You COULD just try copying your saves to another location, then putting them back when you're done
Yeah, but the problem with that is that with modern games, just saving the saved games may not be enough. Some aspects of the saved games may be saved in other files in other folders, or even in the Windows Registry. Fortunately, it's turning out that the major aspects of this game are saved in the ...\Application Data\SPORE folder, so far.
