Why is it that when I use that trainer, it minimizes it and says "Exception!" and crashes?

I did these things:

1. Disabled my Antivirus.
2. Followed EVERYTHING the .nfo file said.
3. Extracted it to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Trial\
4. Ran the trainer before I began the game like it said.
5. Pressed "1" for infinite shield and the game crashed...
6. I read the trainer support from /trainertroubleshooting.asp
I'm getting the FULL copy tonight from GameStop.

Anyone know the problem?

Btw, I was in single campaign.
