USe Steam Version for the Downloaded EE on Witcher, The (Enhanced) PC Message Board - Page 1

well guys i found out that only the Steam Version runs fine with the Downloaded EE Version of the Witcher. (only Talk about the german EE Version if other will work too i dont know but i think it will)

I can validate this. The downloadable EE version released today for prior owners of the game is version 1.4.5.1282.
I play in english, and I need to use the Steam Trainer.

I can also. I am in the UK and verify that you need to run the STEAM version for any retail patched version of the Extended Edition.

Downloaded the 1.4 patch for the UK version to play in the USA and the Steam version works for the upgrade Enhanced Edition I got off of FilePlanet.

Just a heads up if you run The Witcher in UAC then you have to run the Trainer in UAC as well.
