Although there are some bugs, I find it just as fun as the first. Im unhappy with the lack of depth in the Faction Wars but the ability to join the Free Stalkers and the Bandits is quite injoyable. The ability to fix is a godsend and the new areas are nice. I find my self rolyplaying and realy trying to live in the Zone whenever i play.
    WAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!

Well, both the stalker games could have been VERY good, but the way the guns handle when i play them seems abit weird, CS:Source, Half Life 2, Doom III, Quake IV all have good handling of the guns...you know the feel of them.

Its like in all those games, if you point the gun at the enemies head and fire 1 shot, it will likely hit the head...if the target doesn't move.

But, in the Stalker games, that is not the case at all, you can't stealth about and kill anyone with a single shot from ranged at all.

If i had a MP5 or something similar and fired, i would likely make an exact outline of the person i am trying to shoot, instead of hitting them. lol

Bug wise, i had to turn off Anisotropic Filtering to sort out some graphical glitches, which i am sure will be fixed in a patch.

    Yeah...i agree with you
the gun handling is just not so good
its not fun firing those guns at all
i think the fun part of the game is the RPG system that is the free roaming and trading system...love it,...

yeh, though the quest system could use some serious work though.

I would prefer a nice safe route to go through.....you know, it points the safest route (avoid radiation and stuff like that)

Also, it seems all the NPCs that are hostile to you have cat eyes or something since they can see me in pitch black......while i can't see them at all.

yes the have cat eyes and shoot you on sight when you dont see them, sometimes they shoot to walls and you get damage, hope the next patch will fix it

Its a great game, enjoyed it more than the first one, night stalking is brilliant, Faction stuff is good fun, weapons are OK, and I loved it right up to the parts where [SPOILER ALERT]

you get railroaded into the endgame and can't get back anywhere to go what you want to do. Found myself at Chernobyl, with 2 rifles I never picked up ever, and game over! What a pain in the a*se; seemed rushed and almost as though the devs either ran out of time or ideas. Real shame, spoilt a really good game.

Well I agree with PaterSin but I also agree that this game could use a patch. But I really like is a gunfight in this game better than in the other one. I played in both with the maximum difficulty (Master I think) and in Shadow of Chernobyl I didn't needed to take cover from bullets but I do in this one. But I stick to the first phrase of my post.
