I sent off an e-mail to EA about but I figured I'd post it here too.

When using the trainer I destroyed a space civ. On their home planet I used a planet buster but when the planet died, the game still says it's owned by the civ.

I never got a dead civ announcement and I still get attacked by them sometimes, as well as there still being the red war sphere around the system.

Are you sure that you didn't kill off the rest of their colonies? A civ in a real-world situation would live on if their main base operations was destroyed. They wouldn't just vanish, but I honestly cant say because I haven't gotten that far into the game yet, just a little logic thrown in there for thought.

To help your logic, he blew up the planet where they live on

i never had that problem, i just made sure i knew where there planets all where and killed them all, either by boms or planet busters. there is the possibility that they turn into pirates. the ships that remain alive. but that does not sound like your problem.

So, does the planet itself show as "owned" by other alien, or, does it say system is owened?

And, are you sure there's just not a moon or small planet circeling a gas giant, or another bigger planet, that is taken by that same aliens?

becouse ive been in alot of systems where they own more then one planet in a system... ^^ or its just a bug as u said.

But i've destroyed alot of planets myself, with trainer used, and had no problems with it so...
