I followed the instructions for this .ini editting exactly, but whenever I try to play the game by clicking on the shortcut (that I edited the target of) it gives me this error:
Any ideas what could be the problem? I've tried it on two different computers.
Something of note would be that I'm also using a No-CD hack, and have editted the intro out. I don't think this would make a difference, but I don't know.

I am getting an error message when i try start LOR.
It says
Game crash Invalid Sound 'AmnbientIthilienForestStream' Error parsing field 'SoundAmbient' in block 'Object' ini file 'Data\INI\Object\civilian\civilian.ini', line 612. Error parsing INI block ' SoundAmbient' in file 'Data\INI\Object\civilian\civilian.ini'. Because of the severity of this error the game will now exit.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi , I'm a new player of Lotr battle for middle earth 1 , and i finished the campaign on both evil and good side , now i'm playing it again but on hard , and thats really hard , so i go search for cheats , and this was the best site i found , i did what u do but when u say(look down) , but it says that the file u gave me is invalid .. i did it a couple times again from the start , but it won't work ..
,5.) Go to your desktop, find the shortcut to the game. Right click on it and choose properties. Click on the “shortcut” tab. In the box labeled target, delete what is in there and put the following including the quotes: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm)\lotrbfme.exe" –preferLocalFiles

I had a error too of that kind .. maybe u didn't put the INI file u cut from your map where battle for middle earth is installed back to its place (just cut it again in the main map->C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth(tm))
