They are making a Dead Rising 2, I read it in GameInformer about a half a year back. No lie. It's said they are making one of like a whole big urban city, big countrysides, big indoor places (malls) and all three of those aspects are coming together for one massive game. So don't expect it to be fast. And don't expect it to get massive hype with teaser trailers, because alot of hype isn't all that good, especially when people make up things and then are let down. It'll come, probably late 2009 early 2010.
Meanwhile, enjoy the countless array of 360 games. You know what i"m talking about.
Your right, alot of hype is bad. Just look at Halo 3, if the hype wasn't so large people may of seen it as one of the greatest games of our time. Its good to hear that Dead Rising 2 will be worth the wait, I couldn't find any useful stuff using Google, thanks for the information.
Oh, and if you really want to play a zombie game soon, get the co-op game Left 4 Dead, releasing on November 4th, for the 360, PS3, and PC. It's being made by Valve, same people who made the Half-Life series. 4 player co-op on the game. Stay together, live together, that's pretty much the game's slogan. You separate alone, you die. It's should be enough to quench my thirst until DR 2.
But I hope DR 2 has co-op or LIVE support. That'd be nice.
L4D is coming out November 4th? Thats earlier than I expected, I think I better put money away. I want some kind of survival co-op mode for Dead Rising 2, and a create your own character feature too, with customizable weapons. Another good feature would be having to eat and sleep to add some realism. I'd also like to see the ability to board up windows and properly barricade doors. That'd be fantastic.

Yeah, co-op would be good for DR 2. Create a character would be sweet also. Customizable weapons would be ok for guns, but I'm cool with the Hedge clippers chopping people in half. Forced eating would be good, but sleeping would be a little too risky, wouldn't it? I doubt that will be in there. And barricading for defense would be great. And a separate mode where you and up to 4 people fight off wave after tougher wave of zombies, having to find weapons and barricading defenses between waves to see how long you could survive would be amazingly fun.

Forced eating. It sounds like a good idea, I would especially like to see breaking into stores and looting them, like you see in all the apocolyptic movies. I can imagine the commercials now:
"You need to eat to survive! Loot and steal to get your food, yum yum! *A Zombie gives a thumbs up the the camera* You know what that great taste is? Crime!"
