Company of Heroes Message Board  

Hi!

When i update Company Of Heroes to 2.301 or whatever the highest patch is, it says when i have the choose of play, uninstall, explore.

Well it asked me after i did all patchs 'do you want to install Company Of Heroes. Click no. Nothing happened. Then i clicked install (even though the game already is installed) And then it said 'you already have a different version of the game. Please go to control panel and click remove'

I did that and now the game is gone. I don't fancey doing all patchs for it to say im on the wrong version again.

Do you know why it's saying this?

P.S: I have vista. But vista never effected it before and yes i can run the game fine (that was untill i did patchs 2.101+ then it started going wrong.

Have you tried installing and running the game as administrator in vista?

Also it might be worth double checking the directory the game is installed in.

I think on the 64bit versions of vista there is two program files, one for 32bit applications, and one for 64bit applications.

I am unfamiliar with vista, but it sounds like there could be a problem with how your Opposing Fronts (2.101) installed.

Maybe a bad or corrupted patch download?

i noyl have company of heroes, and i got patchs from their own website.

everything works fine untill the last patch. or about last 2-1 patchs.

It then asks me if i want to install the game when it already installed.

weird?
