I have installed the 1.2 patch, unpacked everything, and then i go into export_descr_unit and find a unit i want to edit. ie hit points or how hard they attack. iv tried many different ways of this but nothing changes in the game. Iv tried new games to see if it only applies to new save files but that didnt help either. im sure that this has been asked before but i simply cannot find the thread. So im asking please for someone to help me with this, i will be very appreciative!!

    cheers

Excuse me, I want to ask about the Germans... what they mean with Stong all around in Germans strength when... in long range division, they doesn't have any good archery & in pike division, they doesn't have any good pikemen too ?

They have Gothic Knights, which are very, very strong.

Ok, I really, really need help with this. I've been asking around and searching for a long time so please can someone help. Ok, the problem is that, in Rome: Total War, there was a file within the data file that was named descr_unit_enums. That file had all the official names of the units, which were used to create them in the campaign using the cheat, "create_unit." But, in the Medieval II: Total War data file, the file that has these unit names, is supposedly, "packed." In order to access the files you have to, "unpack" them, using, obviously, an unpacker, and then they'll be able to be opened correctly. I have no idea how to use these unpackers, and, I've heard that even people who've used the unpackers couldn't read the file. Let me give you an example of the kind of unit names are in there. To create five units of Longbowmen, in London, with the highest stats possible, you would have to type,
"create_unit London English Longbowmen 5 9 9 9." But most of the time, it's not that simple, for example to create five units of Retinue Longbowmen in London, with highest stats as possible, you would have to type, "create_unit London English Dismounted Longbowmen 5 9 9 9." So it can get pretty complicated. So I was just wondering if someone here could please either post a full list of all the unit enums here, or give me a link to all the unit enums. Please! I need to find this out, thanks, David.

    PS: Sorry for no paragraphs.
