I don't know if a thread like this has ever been created. If it has, I apologize in advance.
A bunch of us once used forty-two's teetering cabin game thread as a place to chat. Once the game was over, I created "Teetering Cabin: A Bored Thread". Eventually, it was locked due to the amount of posts. So, A Bored Thread 2 was created and it seemed to have filled up faster than last time. It'll most likely be locked sometime this week and a new one will be created.
My suggestion is this... How about getting a live chat option? Sure people can talk on messenger, but not everyone is going to want to add everyone else as some buddy lists are what people refer to as "exclusive". If there was a live chat option attached to this site than it would reduce the amount of posts being added to the site, particularly in regards to the bored threads. I'm sure a free live chat can be found somewhere on the web. You might even be able to use live chat for other things as well; hold special CHU events through live chat or something, idk.

We tried a special live support and it fell apart easily. Since moderating a live chat is a rather hard job to do, it's something that won't happen. Use MSN or AIM chat rooms.
