Hey can anyone help me. I've installed Devil May Cry 4 into my pc with the Complete installation and the Custom. Neither of them work. I've got all the requirements for the game, but it doesnt open up. I open up the launcher, click the game for the Direct x9, the CD icon shows up on my cursor, then nothing happens after.
are you running vista or xp? also did you download the game or buy it?
vista's chocked full of problems, but in particular to games some(including DMC4) dont like onboard soundcards/drivers - esp realtek ones. That can stop the game running with sound, or stop running alltogether. That same error is the same on XP but less likely... if it is the sound i suggest rolling back the drivers: start>control panel>sounds and audio devices>hardware>realtek HD blah blah>properties>driver>rollback. if you downloaded it you might need to either mount the image using daemon tools or get a nocd crack.
I'm running windows xp and i bought a new game not used. I was wondering if it's because of my graphics card. Because the requirements to play the game is to have an nVidia Geforce graphics card, but i have an AIW 9800 Pro 128M.
oh wow. yeah your gunna need to upgrade your card to X series for ATI. In particular your card now dosent the right version pixel shader or something like that, pixel.. something... hmm. but yeah Xseries do. theyre not expensive these days either.
mmmm no i wouldnt expect pci-e to be a requirement and in fact id suggest you stick to agp cards, theyre faster than pci-e.(pci-e operates 33hz, agp - 66 to 100hz) but they are slightly more expensive. slightly.
That's kinda funny, cus my sister has a PCI-E motherboard and an nVidia Geforce 6200, which is pretty weak for the game. I tried a Radeon 2400 HD Pro which is a decent graphics card for my AGP motherboard, but it didn't work. I also updated the drivers and everything.
