does anyone know how the action replay works, i found out u can play the story mode with hunk if u use it. BUT WHAT IS IT! how do i get action replay?

is it like on a disk or something, or a chip u have to insert into the ps2
and i heard it screws up the ps2 somehow?

It's not necessary to use it on the Ps2 since it's not worthy. The Gamecube is the one to pick if you want to use AR. AR's are very uncommon these days, so i suggest you purchase one in markets or double check in a few gaming stores.

I just got the Action replay so I can play as ADA etc after finding this post www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/925156/41559 I paid $30 for a legit copy of Action replay+ and was very disappointed. It comes with a few cheats for RE4 like unlimited heath, never reload etc. I tried thos and when I switched for RE4 disk it goes to the red screen of "please insert a valid PS2 disk" so I think it must be messing with the laser. I have found nothing online that helps me. Also, I dont see how you can imput a master code for a game that already is listed.. .. .. it just says "that name is already taken" and u cant proceed. Gonna call their tech support at Datel but I har they arent helpful. I REALLY want to play as ADA, but you can see by the post that it's very sketchy, full of areas where you can crash, cant talk to Merchant, cant talk to ashley, cant this cant that.. .. .. But I've seen lots of vids on utube so there must be a way to do this without having to be some kind of rocket scientist.. .. ..

People have their secrets and don't plan to share it. Going with the flow is the best way rather than getting AR when all its going to do is ruin the fun and the challenge. Just try and get your best score by playing mercenaries. Ada's not all that hard to unlock afterall.

With the action replay there is an un-official code list where you can play the whole game as Ada, Krauser, H, and even Ashley - although Ashley doesnt have any weapons so it's really tough to get through, probably impossible. But as I said I cant get any of it to work .
