Then, under C:\Documents and Settings\-----\Application Data\Bioshock I opened the User Config File and set these keys to my hacks/cheats.

G=givebioammo
I=god
J=exec weapons.txt
K=exec ammo.txt
L=exec plasmids.txt

I started up the game and was at the point after you get the electric blast plasmid, pushed the buttons and nothing happened. I tried putting them on function keys, numpad keys and then I tried the DefUser Config File under C:\Program Files\2K Games\BioShock\Builds\Release but it still didn't work.

I'm actually wondering why the Hacks didn't work for you.

Make sure that the Keys which you bind in the User.ini file are under the [Default] section and heading. Check that again. Binding it somewhere Else won't work.

And also make sure that you didn't misspell the file names by mistake.

It worked fine for me on V1.0 and I checked them again on my side now, they work. They even work on Version 1.1.

Maybe you can check again If the KEY bindings are done properly under the [Default] heading where other Key bindings are set for the player? Hope This helps?

Could this be a problem because it says that my class is also ShockPlayer.

Even the normal cheat codes don't work that I have bound like god and givebioammo.

NO. That doesn't Matter at all. That 'class' for the Player is different. Don't Look under this Heading.

You have to GO to the [Default] heading which is just below the [DefaultPlayer] heading. You have to bind the KEYS ONLY under the [Default] heading in the same File. Don't bother about the[DefaultPlayer] heading. Just Look for the [Default] heading and bind the keys there.

Look for these Lines under the [Default] heading e.g:
A=StrafeLeft
B=AmmoSelectionDown
C=Duck
D=StrafeRight
E=Use
F=MedHypo
G=
H=HintButtonAlias
I=
J=exec cheats.txt
K=

You have to BIND the exec code here. Check that again IF possible.
