I don't know if you can on Ruby but it involves the Battle Tower. 1. Go to the Battle Frontier. 2. Go to the Battle Tower. 3. Walk to the right in the Battle Tower, where you will find a PC. 4. Make sure you have some Pokemon that you want to duplicate in your party. 5. Logon to the PC. 6. Deposit your Pokemon that you want to clone (up to six) into any box in your PC. 7. Exit the PC and save the game. 8. Turn the same PC back on, and withdraw the same Pokemon you just deposited (it doesn’t matter which order you get them in). 9. Go to the lady to your far right, at the Multi-Battle entrance. 10. When she asks if you want to battle at Level 50 or Open Level, you should pick Open Level, even though you can pick level 50 if you choose, but it is just easier to go with Open Level because more Pokemon can fit into that category. 11. Select any two Pokemon that are eligible for that group. 12. The lady will ask if you would like to save your game. Say yes and there will be a pause. Then the real “Would you like to save the game” statement comes up. 13. Say NO to that offer, and as soon as you do, turn off the power of your game system. 14. Turn your game back on. 15. Check your PC and you will have an exact copy of the Pokemon you deposited in the PC, and in your party!

The battle Frontier isn't in Ruby, only in Emerald. The Battle Frontier is a park dedicated to many different styles of battling.
