I noticed that when i went to the games directory the .exe launcher is called cnc3ep1.exe.

Does the ep1 part mean that this is part 1 of the game & more will come?

I dont know but C&C series will continue.

It is simply the file name.. they would not do that to say there is a continuations. Thats what yet another expansion disk is for.

For now it is the last of the CNC TW mini Series. Until they give conformation of another game. But that is not hint to another expanison

I think the EP means "Expansion Pack" rather than "Episode", (dunno if which you thought), but that's the way they extend the sims 2 .exe files, eg; sims2ep3.exe.

You're right, the story was a bit too inconclusive for my liking, but I guess they're just leaving it open-ended for the next game/expansion pack.

I really want it to continue!

Apparently, the storyline will continue in the FPS game, Tiberium. According to information at the site, that game will take place at the Mediterranean Scrin Tower.

And judging from the Titan in the screenshots, we'll be working with the Steel Talons.
