Well got everything working, Apart from the ini with Cromwell's stat's in it

What's it called / where it is

But if you cant get the trainer this at a great way to edit the game just ones and not keep messing about with trainers :P + it might work on a few other games with dat files

[EDIT] Got it working, you just need to restart the game in order for the stat change to work lol.

You can also change the stats for your allies aswell, then when they join you you have another super ship

Now we are cooking. For some reason when I unpack the files it seems I get the folders just not the files in them. I wonder what I am doing wrong? And yes I got the process down from DOS command line and its showing me that its unpacking the files. The only thing I have not tried is reinstalling the game and trying fresh.

Any ideas?

The file with the characters and such is named strategytypes.ini. Also you can edit the Gorg warchief and have that mission be over real easily too.

Does anyone know how to edit the file to allow all of the weapons and modules at the beginning of the games. You know like getting anti-matter engines at the start.

I actually am wondering the same thing. Can anyone provide help or a working link to help for the ini files? Google is turning up broken boards. Thanks.

what can you use to edit the nexus_00.dat i have tried notepad, wordpad, and hex edit all a complete failure. I really want to get this to work seeing that none of the trainers out there seem to work when you are playing this game through steam. Thanks for anyhelp
