All the other GTA games since GTA 3 have been in sync with each other, and you can learn about other characters while playing the other games. Say Phil from GTA 3 is just a small character, he's an armless war veteran who you need to help. But in Vice City you see more of him, actually losing his arm and such, and more on VC Stories.
What i was wondering is, like most great games this game let you choose your own ending. Even though that's great and all, it discludes them being able to use the characters later. Say if you let Roman die then if they creat anymore GTA's then Roman couldn't be in it due to some people let him die. How do you think they'd work around this?
War is old men talking and young men dieng.

Make up a story about Roman dying anyways so it won't really matter what happen in this game but they won't tell how he died, just that he's dead. Then maybe you meet Niko in a later game but there's no Roman since he's dead.
Or more likely either 2 options:
1 - Only use minor characters like Little Jacob, Packie, etc 2 - Make a completely new set of characters and we never hear from the GTA IV one again.

I'm just saying what I think, but if you let him live or die, in the next one they could say he got shot, but lived because he got shot in the leg or something like that.
OR
This was the last one!!!
I would just go with my last prediction, and I'm possibly correct. Just saying what I thought.

The last one? Not likely, in fact I'm so sure of it that I'd be willing to say I'd shoot myself in the head if it is. Grand Theft Auto is one of the most legendary and profitable gaming franchises in over a decade, it's not going anywhere.
They might have a lot of legal issues from ****roaches like Jack [bloodsucker] Thompson but he hasn't won a single case against them, he's nothing but an annoyance.
edit: censored bug? Nice

talk about wasting taxpayers' money for fruitless law suits against R*... like what SuperSkyline 89 said, the GTA franchise ain't going nowhere, whether certain people like it or not. i recently read an article somewhere in the Internet & it said that GTA IV made $600 million in just a mere 2 weeks

Actually, Jack Thompson is going to be disbarred(suspended from practicing law) because he was convicted on 27 of 31 misconduct charges. No more law for Mr. Thompson.
