there is no denying that the mods can do whatever they want within the limits they set for other users. but keep in mind that a website is nothing without its users, and if a site is known for notoriously anal moderators...dammit i forget what im talking about again.
I'll finish your statement-
Then the site would gain a negative reputation, and it would lose some of the aforementioned members.
While it is "your house" it's still up to us members to keep the site alive.
Moderators, like police officers, should be there to "serve and protect." Serving members by helping them to understand forums, how to post, setting a good example for members, and showing them how to navigate the site. And protecting members by banning disruptive posters, and keeping the forums running smoothly in every way possible.
I don't think any of the mods are unreasonable. If your thread got moved then there's most likely a good reason.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trust is a fragile thing. Once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Those we're closest to can betray us,and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.
