Forty-two, your point is loud and clear, and we appreciate it for that. But was there any need to dress it up with melodrama and get it across in that fashion? Frustration nonwithstanding, it doesn't seem professional and moderator-ly to flip the lid like that.

    The TOS states:

Messages and topics may be removed at any time and for any reason at the sole discretion of our editors and designated moderators. User accounts may be warned, suspended, or revoked at any time and for any reason at the sole discretion of our editors and our designated moderators. All determinations of what is "acceptable" and "unacceptable" content will be determined solely by our editors and moderators.

It's not a matter of whether you think it belongs on the GD board or not. Our decisions are final.

Another way of explaining it would be:

    THIS IS OUR HOUSE

You are our guests. We will make all attempts to treat everyone with due respect and to accomodate everyone's wishes as far as reasonably possible. But, this is a private site. We are not a "for profit" enterprise. We are not funded by any governments. This means we run the site the way we see fit. We are not obligated to observe anyone's notions of "free speech" or even "fairness." We try of course, and that's why we're consistently considered one of the best gaming sites on the web, and you are always free to give us suggestions. But, we have our limits. If we don't like you, we simply ban you. If we're really ****ed off, then we IP ban you AND nuke every single post you've uploaded to the site - ever. It will be as if you had never existed here. This is our house. You've been warned.

there is no denying that the mods can do whatever they want within the limits they set for other users. but keep in mind that a website is nothing without its users, and if a site is known for notoriously anal moderators...dammit i forget what im talking about again.
