Actually guys, trintong is quite right good eye there, I had missed it all this time and wasn't entirely sure what you were talking about until I dug into it.

The British infantry and Canadian infantry units should indeed have had the Vickers Machine gun nest available in their build menus like they do in "vanilla" COH. Through an oversight on my part, the pathway wasn't preserved very early on and all this time it was never restored.

Keep in mind, as far as practicality sake, they are simply another version of the machine gun nest, this won't really effect any strategy in Ewiger Krieg to any significant amount, but they are a cosmetically different alternative.

They have now been added, so enjoy!


Now onto another side note that isn't as pleasant a surprise... It has come to my attention that someone going by the name k22 on filefront has not only stolen my mod, but cobbled together what I can safely presume to be other stolen works (textures and maps), and made a "franken-mod" of sorts. What is deeply insulting is not that he used my work, but that he took my name completely off of it, claimed he created it, and then had the gall to claim that my mod was supposedly inferior in some way because it is small. I can readily explain the size discrepancy as I have thoroughly analyzed what he claims to be "his" mod, and it's merely my mod with some textures added in which are inherently very large. What's worse, it's a highly likelihood that the textures were taken with no proper credit given to their creator either.

If he had purloined superior textures, they would be even larger by the way, easily hundreds of megabytes, which demonstrates his limited understanding and suspect sense of taste, but I digress.

I left a comment expressing my distaste for the situation, but I expect little or no action will be taken against the plagiarizing thief (he even used my instruction files verbatim and pasted his name in). I don't ask anyone to harass him, nor take any action of any kind in that manner, in fact I strongly oppose any sort of childishness like that. I simultaneously do not solicit any activity nor wish to obligate anyone to do anything on my behalf.

That being said, while I am not a particularly prideful person, I am able to be offended like any other reasonable person, and the disrespect and simple lack of decency shown by this k22 person grates on me severely. If anyone who has been so kind as to support me all this time would do me the additional kindness of bringing it to filefront's (administrators) attention with nothing more than a courteous and polite email, I'd think that many voices could point out that his plagiarism has not gone unnoticed, I would be forever grateful.

Please for heaven's sake, don't slander k22, be generally rude, or act in any way discourteous, that would hinder more than help. Thank you all for all of the support

Wow! I going to tall you about guy name k22 too but no need now.

About MOD, My curious eyes was true then.

Thank you for put bunker back then I can now enjoy send some ammo frying.

Good MOD with good modder are hard to find but not mean there no good modder, right ?


ps. About k22, I think that guy will find himself some punishment in another day. Time will tell the truth.


Oh! I just notice that medicsupplies building of US side cannot build out of a starting area range.

Did you normaly wish to put it like that? Or you missed this one?

Hmmm... the medic station can be built beyond the initial command zone, however triage centers can not be built outside that zone. From what I've seen it works the same with or without Ewiger Krieg.

ps. I think vicker machinegun bunker is firing more rapid than US one but it not effect Heavy armour, that why it still balance to US side.

Dear Knight, I am very sorry for that Piracy(yet i can call!)
and i did what you expected from us(Fans) as an email with manners to the Site(FileFront) and i don't know the reaction of the administration or the manager,?!
Anyhow i think it's better to contact that "Pirat" and ask the reasons he\she(it!)did it, Maybe it was just for a personal use or self-proclaimed fame maybe!!
If not then better find the site or Thread that let our not so dear Pirate post the Terrorized Vers. of EK without any problem.

Well, there actually is a "thread" of sorts associated with his posting, but I have been remiss to link to it so as to not lend any credence to the plagiarized version of the mod. However in the interest of full disclosure and so that I can hopefully show clearly that this is not a claim made on a whim, I invite others to investigate the veracity of the charges.

Please note, in post #6 of that discussion k22 flatly admits what he has done with my mod, however he in no way explains why he would plagiarize my work, made absolutely no mention of why all credit to the original work was erased and his name put in its place. Meanwhile the effectively irrelevant additions he's claiming to have made are nothing more than textures that even in this thread I've discussed at length for others to install themselves if they so desired, but I did not expressly because I did not want to steal anyone else's textures (or "skins" if you prefer) nor diminish the credit due to their hard work on them by using them in association with my mod. Lt Apollo in that very thread makes direct reference to the unapproved, and uncredited, use of his Urban Assault team texture that is just one among many used in franken-mod k22 has cobbled together from real modder's individual works.

What he's done is effectively take Eggs Benedict, sprinkle some salt and pepper on it, and claim it's now "Eggs k22" and original recipe from his own inspiration. I readily add textures to my own Ewiger Krieg to enhance the look of units (particularly axis ones), however I wouldn't dare releasing it in that form out of respect to the creators of those textures/skins. Also it's far easier to upload/download the mod without all the extra fluff that could be added/subtracted on the user-end once rather than downloaded every time which would be a huge bloat of unnecessarily redundant data as updates came out.



Even if I -HAD- partnered with another modder to pre-package skins with the mod, I would gratefully and expressly put their name and the origin of their work prominently in the credits of the mod because their work should be acknowledged, not erased only to be supplanted with false claims that they had NOT actually created them or that I had done so myself.

Again, I thank everyone for their kindness and support of the mod. I don't ask nor require anyone to do anything for me, nor the mod, but any efforts made on my behalf are infinitely appreciated

First i hope that FileFront Administration respond appropriately, And i think(and of course if you wanted)noting him on his act and the piracy that he'd done, He might come to a logic and realistic- colored point of view that he has done wrong with no line of justify!

But aside that, i must say that i am totally amazed by your response to this matter! I thought after a long time of hard effort and openly listen to what gamers desired and fulfill what you could, You would be much more aggressive toward this k22!

Carry on indeed! This mod is the life of company of heroes. Without it the game would be dull as hell. I hope in tales of valor you keep the mod going! Also i was wondering. In Oosterbeek the germans had slit trenches on the hill. Yet the germans can never make them. Could you include slit trentches to be available to the germans?
