Driving Style And Strategy

    Ok, this is continues from topic "Design or Performance, what would u choose?" But in here i like to ask Is that performance are the only thing that can promise u a victory?

    It's a combination of both, really. You can have a good driving style but if you have no strategy, you won't win. It works the same vice-versa.

    However, both can be integrated to act as one action. You can have a strategy which requires you to adopt a certain driving style (i.e. guns blazing - aggressive) or you can have a certain driving style which influences your strategy. It works both ways.

    For me, I can't give you a definite winner between the two. I use them both as one, and the result? I have never lost a grip race.

    But there is one key component which influences both - the brain. And that's what wins you races.

    Hmm, but sometimes u need a LUCK. I don't know if you not belive in that. Good skill and strategy combine with the best tuning car sometimes rune ownself. Playing dirty also classify as skill and strategy? For me it's not strategy, it's COWARD.

    Roughing it only proves how inexperienced you are.

    Luck can be used in tight spots, agreed, but it can't be used as a racing stategy. You can't exactly set about Le Mans or Formula One with an "I'll-go-with-the-flow" attitude. That's just asking for trouble and a serious ownage later.

    So, how do you drive in this NFSPS?
    I still drive safely. I don't mind if i lose to learn opponent skill and strategy because i still can restart it back and take advantage to their weakness point. i just wanna play as perfect as i can.

    Here'e my problem. I have no problem with any of the grips or drags. I've used several cars in both races from the r35 to the porsche turbo to the skyline, supra, evo, challenger, and the list goes on. I've also had no problems drifting with the rx7. My problem is with the speed races now that I'm halfway through the game. Since you basically start in last place on a narrow country road, it takes about half of the race to get near the front with out crashing into another car or a freakin telephone pole. My problem is not speed, I'm almost always the fastest car on the track, but when I'm close to taking the lead and come over a hill, the car in front of me slows down so I either smash into the back of him or I try to dodge him and total my car. This has been a consistent pattern for my last 10 or so races. Any ideas on how to avoid this? I don't uses any trainers, and I even sold my Zonda because it's so difficult to control at high speeds, and I always end up wrecking it before the finish line. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    You're having a car control issue - one of the most common problems in speed racing.

    If you want to win, the most crucial element is being able to keep the car under control at very high speeds. So you must consider the factors which influence grip. Chief among which is a good 4WD system - 4 wheel drive (or all-wheel-drive as it is in the game).

    So that really leaves you with the following options (remember power, too):

    - Nissan Skyline R34
    - Nissan Skyline GT-R R35
    - Porsche 911 Turbo
    - Lamborghini Murcielago LP640
    - Audi RS4

    Then to knock it down further, throw in two high-speed stability factors: aerodynamics and crucially, weight. That boils it down to this:

    - Lamborghini Murcielago LP640
    - Audi RS4

    The Lamborghini is the wiser choice, albeit more expensive. It is heavy, it is aerodynamically superior to the RS4 and the stock 640BHP version is faster than a fully tuned RS4, which incidentally has 670BHP, so if you can imagine the speeds when tuned, you'd want one. Bad.

    That's not to say the RS4 isn't a capable alternative. It can accelerate well into 200mph without any given aids (i.e. NOS) and it can maintain that speed with control even over hills, crests and dips in the road, thanks to its weight. So if you can't afford a Lamborghini, buy an RS4.

    Drifting with RX7 is awesome but you need to know when u need to brake and accelerate or hit the NOS. So, if u notice that u can survive from losing out control and hit the wall or out from the track.
