i tried to take on red with my lvl64 espeon (my strongest) and my Gyarados, snorlax,scyther, and my haunter. all bellow level 60. so im pretty stuck.so if i train my espeon to about level 80 or so,(since espeon is psychic) could i beat red? i caught a graveler and am going to train it to take on its pikachu so he's covered but what about the rest?
any good pokemon i can catch to beat red.
(i have suicune,raikou and entei and am trying to catch ho-oh but they all suck)

I think the best way to beat Red is to catch a ground, a water or ice, a dark or ghost, a fighting, a fire and a lighting pokemon. Also, your pokemon should be at least level 75 to beat him.

yay i finally acccidently beat him, caught ho-oh and have a level 40 pupitar which is soon going to be a powerful tyranitar! all that is left is lugia and pokedex challenge...
