You need a different car. I suggest...
Charger
Vette Z06 or C6
New GTO
Supra
Skyline

Ya, the Cobalt doesn't belong on a drag strip. It's weak.

I used the new Shelby GT500, it's good but the cars 2hot4u mentioned are all good also. The only problem with the older muscle cars is they don't have the level of control the new GT500 has.

You need a rear drive car, although Skyline, which is all wheel drive,is an ideal drag car. She's fast stock,so when you max her to level 4,boosts high, set all gears tall, she makes a powerful drag car. Its a blast drag racing a Skyline.

You must also consider your own shifting skills. I personally have managed to get a Cobalt under 12 and that had around 300BHP. Just practice on nailing the perfect shifts, and getting off the line at the same time the light goes green. You must master your drag technique over your car tuning first.

I agree with Skyline,Cobalt doesn't belong in drag. Weak car. You can grab good and perfect shifts in a Cobalt,or any weak car,but you'll still lose when going against powerful cars like GT500,Charger,Vette,Supra,and Skyline.

i tried the the roadrunner got in high 8s 190+ mph one run in particular was 9;14@191 mph in RL thats rockin for a 595 hp roadrunner. with just all lvl3 power and handling 595 hp tp be exsact, but hmm i might try switching the skyline to a drag car.
