Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Message Board  

sorry this has nothin 2 do with battlefront but could somone with a ps2 pleeeeeeeeaaaaase tell me why i cant play dvds on it anymore, i tried 3 different dvds, 2 worked on it before and the other worked on a dvd player

well. the general idea of it is, ps2s get more suckier with time. thats why i no longer play them. i prefer Xbox and Xbox360 to play movies on. So in other words: Its not your fault. Almost everyone I know has problems playing dvds on ps2s after awhile. You might try a dvd player instead.

Ive had my PS2 for about 6 years now, Eversince they first hit the shelf, and its almost fine, th only prob is sometimes when u put a game in it, it doesnt even try to read it, but thats causeIve droped it 2 times now, but all i got to do it give it a little hit on the bttem of PS2 and It starts rite up Good as new, so IDK why urs is messed up, is it still unde warranty or is it older as well, and what model is it, lik mine is a V5/V6

and is yours a slim or Normal ??

its onme of the the good old big ones that you have to turn on to open the disc drive

i also dropped it down the satirs once, but that ws in a rucksack with all the equipment (leads and controllers) and a couple of games but that was ages ago before it went dodgy...

i think i need some more opinions...

If it ever dropped while it had a DVD in it then the DVD reader can break that happened with a PS2 Disc

my only guess is that you have played it too long and have either done something to hard drive or to the Sinscor.

it dropped once off of a shelf when it had star wars lego in it and the game wouldn't work anymore...
