wow the best you guys can come up with is "cheat"? Another option is save up and buy a cargo ship, the same way as you will use it; hauling solar cells. They are cheap, small cargo that can be found for cheap in one system and sold high in the same system. you can find some with 3 solar plants and at least 2 other stations that need them. Make many runs doing the same with the cargo ship for faster profit. when you save up enough buy your cheapest station avalable and you have an option...you can continue running cargo to make money or you can jump in a combat ship and go pirate hunting for their ships. depending on what you get hunting you will either sell the ships you get or keep them for your fleet (sell half the combat ships and keep all the cargo running ships). If you opted to keep running cargo save up enough for a few more cargo ships and at least one combat escort. Either way this is when the real money starts coming in. Set up the cargo ships with best buy locators and sellers, and all needed software. set the combat ships to protect the cargo ships and send them on their way to collect the resources needed for your station and sell the wares made from it, limiting the amount of systems they can travel to 3 maybe 4 for safty reasons, if you let them get too far out they will get destroyed for sure. SAVE YOUR GAME. there is nothing worsse than waking up to haveing lost everything. Now set the time compression to the max and go to sleep/work. You should have a Large chunk of money made after you get back to the game....that or everything will have been destroyed and you will be broke(try again with your presave). When you have enough money to buy another station and support fleet do so. Your goal should eventually be to have enough stations to produce everything you need to support each other and sell the excess. A good first production triangle is silicon waffer mine, crystal fab station, and solar power cell station. keep in mind that the more stations you put into service the more the money grows expentally. You will see a drain at first on your money to get the station production going and getting that first station and fleet to support it is a pain but it is so worth it. AND SAVE OFTEN. your stations and convoys are not truely safe until you have carriers and battleships defending them. Good luck
