What do you expect ? Where do all those HighRes Textures come from ? Nothing ?
    Arrrg. Stupidity never dies.

Edit: I wonder, why so many ppl. are being gay about the Sys Requirements. It may be a bit high, but what to expect from a highend game ? If your PC can't run it: get a better one or don't play the game or get a 360/ps3.

Its just normal, that better graphics long for better hardware.

I've been doing fine with 1 gb, why do I all of a sudden need more? I simply dont understand, I'll wait for ps4, and hope I can play it on there, ps3 sucks anyway anyhow

    1gb but for low settings,?

well you'll just have to wait 5 or 10 years for a new PS... and why a ps3 sucks for you?

There is nothing special about this game
    MAX req will be:

    2 GB of RAM
8500 or above nVidia GF card
    HDD space of course
    and a Intel E6600

With thous specs you should be able to play the game on ~Full settings.
Non the less there are at least 2 months till release date.
25 of Mar is a long way to go

You really think a 8500 will be okay for High Details ? Ouch.

I expect you need sth like a 7900GTX or a 8800GTS at least for High Details.

What's hard to understand about games using more resources as they continue to develop?

You obviously don't know anything about computers if you don't know that to keep on top of gaming they require upgrades all the time.

My friend you need to do some research, maybe you're just young and don't know how the systems work yet, but if you want to be a PC gamer you're going to want to figure out how to start doing your own upgrades.

2GB on XP/3GB on Vista is fair. You can literally buy 2GB of reliable DDR2 ram for less than $50 these days in the US, and I imagine it's somewhere around that almost everywhere else. When I'm running Crysis it uses up 1.2GB of ram all by itself.

Naaa, this game is not gonna be a visual jewel, its DX 10 compatible so users under Vista will need more power to run the DX 10, I think a 8800 GT will do the trick but for XP users a 8500 will be just enough to enjoy the best visual effect the game can offer. I don't think they will push the grafic edge cuz its not there intend to compete with CrYsis or FarCry2. And 1 of my current PC's has a 8800 GT TOP and runs CrYsis on full details at around 40 fps, under DX10. I'd say AC will run around 60.

This game is a memory hog, because the amount of data it needs to load for the "flowerbox", but the physic and overall effects can't compete with CrYsis or FarCry2. It's all up to bad coding and the engine to make this game run slower then the other 2.

At what Resolution are you playing Crysis ? And whats the rest of your system specs ?

8500 will be enough for the best effects ? Not under DX10, not 9 not at ANY DX you could probably imagine. Its just not possible.

A 8600GS can do about 2500 3DMarks, a 8500 will be about 1800. My 7900GS has 4100 and can't run Crysis with more than 20-25 at 1280x720 on mid/high details. In the Ice-Level its about 5-10 fps and unplayable.

So how do you get the weird idea that Assassins Creed WILL work on an 8500 which has about less than half the power of my card ? Gonna use magic ? If you have no clue, its better to just shh about certain things before telling wrong stories based on 5% knowledge.
