Every time i try to catch azelf he keeps jumping out of the ultra-ball. I have tried putting him to sleep while he was calmed down but it still won't work.

Be best thing to do is to use a master ball. Because it's at like level 50 I think, it'll be hard to catch it even if it's asleep.

I already have uxie and he was easy. but i caught mesprit with my masterball.

the best way is to get a pokemon that is capable of paralysis or one at a high level and false swipe. I suggest raising a garchomp, he has great attack, he can learn false swipe, then switch to a poke like magnezone and paralyze him. then just keep chucking ultra balls till you have yourself an azelf.

Dusk balls are either 2 or 4 times better than an Ultra Ball in a cave, go buy about 30 dusk balls and use False Swipe on it.

I think they're 4 times greater than a regular pokeball. Ultras have twice the capture rate of a normal pokeball, so dusks have 2x the capture rate of ultra balls (if you're in dark places, or its nighttime)

yea, always keep a supply of duck balls even for non legendary pokemon, they come in real handy.
Also there Heatran and Giratina who are in caves
