Just before you start, if you don't feel like reading just skip to the third or last paragraph, because they're the important ones.
I'm really leaning towards the 360, because it seems generally like the better console (performance-wise) and it has the larger selection of games. In my opinion, the only great games released on the PS and not XBox are God of War, so if I get a 360 I won't be able to play GoW3, which sucks big time, (they're my favorite games ever) but the 360 has so much more games, and has RTSs (my computer isn't really all that strong so I'd rather get them on the 360 if I get it.)
Both are awesome, but just as a prediction, I'm guessing they're both going to have newer versions later on (like PS2--> PS2 slim) and I think the XBox will as well because they didn't get off to such a good start, and when the updated versions come out, I'm guessing the PS3 is going to be the better console (just my prediction, no I don't support Sony or PS or whatever, or XBox or Microsoft). Now I'm probably not exactly going to get a console until the end of next year or so, because my PS2 recently broke and my dad replacedit for me, so he'd freak if I told him I want it (he'll just tell me that when the PS4 comes out you'll want that and so on...) so I'm planning on paying close attention to developments (if you ask me getting your console late is the best thing to do because you'd get the best version, unless you're planning on getting both, but that's just a waste of money IMO. I'm missing out on a lot of games right now (Assassin's Creed mainly... and I really want Crysis, but I know that's never going to happen since it's only on PC and probably will never be on anything else), but I can get them all later... Oh, which brings me to...
My Biggest reason for leaning towards the 360: in my country, games for consoles in all stores are copies, (I buy PS2 games for $3 man.) Now, the 360 has copies ($7 each) but the PS3 not yet. Personally, my parents wouldn't give me around 60-80 dollars every time I want to buy a game (and I think it's ridiculous they cost that much, so I wouldn't pay for it with my own money either), but they might (and probably will) be able to do that later on (copies for PS3) but since they're on Blu-Ray discs I'm sure they'll be more expensive.
So what do you propose I do?
P.S. I've never owned an XBox or any gaming system besides PS1 or 2, and I want to get a PS3, (more familiar, mainly to the controller, which I find much better than the 360's) but I can't exactly ignore how much better the 360 is. Which is why I raised this topic.
Oh, and the PS3 plays Blu-Ray movies. I don't really want to pay for a seperate BRD player... they're more expensive than the PS3.
And if I get the 360, which version should I get? (Need storage space for saved games for a lot of games and need it to play well, and don't want to pay a lot. Don't care about included features in the box of included games, but I do about whether or not the controller is wireless.)
