Ive read that people are able to solo the lao urgent for hr2 but i havent been able to do it in about 5 tries now. Ive given myself everything i should need to do it ; eternal strife lrg bb +'s, diablos armor for wind resistance, and ive read about every walkthrough there is but i still cant repel him. If anyone could give me some advice or point out my flaw (strategy of hitting head until leaving then going for belly etc.) i would greatly appreciate it.

Well I did it with the Plesioth Waterblade (not the best choice to use) it took me 2 tries with that but Id reccomend going with a dragon attribute weapon (a great sword most reccomended). Your stragegy of hitting him in the head and stomach is correct, for those are his most vunerable areas. but Id also reccomend first hitting him in the head until the horn at the tip breaks off. then go for his belly by just slicing aways at it and using barrel bombs at times. Also go on top of a ledge using a ladder. The ledge is located in all the areas except for the last one. Once you're on top of the ledge, jupm off when Lao is under you and your character will automaticly hold on. you will be able to carve three things from his back which are sometimes rare. The he will stand up and you will go flying off. Once at the fortress, bring ballista S and cannon S. The cannon S is only able to be carried one at a time; the ballista 9. Fire the cannon at him (aim to his back) and do the same with the ballista. Only do this a few times and then go out to meet Lao Shang and cut him up before he gets to the fortress. When he is dangerously close, go back to the top of the wall and wait until he stands up. He will slowly walk towards you and will hit the wall. Right when he is about to hit the wall, push circle when standing next to the big red circle which will trigger a weapon that puts drills inside of him doing a mass amount of damage. BVe careful to do this just at the right moment because you woulnt have a second chance of using it. Then go back down to start hitting him again and he will soon die.
