If you're using the trainer and your game is crashing after a short period, double check these things:

    1. MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE RIGHT VERSION OF THE TRAINER

There are different versions of the game. The ORIGINAL RETAIL VERSION and ORIGINAL NO-CD VERSION are both 1.00.86 and the correct trainer is this one --> Link

The first patch that was released updated the game to 1.00.88. If this is the version you have, you need this one --? Link

    2. MAKE SURE WINDOWS LIVE IS DISABLED

We've provided two .bat files with the trainer that should be extracted to your UAW install folder. When run, one file will disable Windows Live and one will turn it back on. It does this by renaming the UAWEA.exe.cat file to something different. You may need Administrator level privelege or right-click and Run as Administrator on the .bat file for this to work in Vista. You can also manually rename or move this file yourself to disable Windows Live.

If Windows Live has been properly disabled, when you run the game, you should receive this error --> Link

If you are not getting this error then Windows Live has NOT been deactivated properly and your game WILL CRASH once the trainer is in use. Windows Live enables anti-cheat scanning, even in single player mode and once it detects the trainer, the game will crash.

I can't seem to get it to work. I have tried the following.

1)I updated my Windows Live software

2)I installed Windows Service Pack 2

3)I ran the batch file to deactivate Windows Live (I get the message that I am supposed to get stating that Windows Live has been deactivated)

4)I made sure that everything is in the correct folder or directory

5)I even downloaded the 1.88 patch and made sure that the trainer version I am using matches.

After doing all this, the game still crashes when I try and use the trainer. Does anyone have any suggestions?

At first i had to say, sorry for my very bad english but i'm only a german guy.

Now the prob with crashes using the trainer. My way to get the game running without crashes:

1.) Patch the game to Version 1.00.97xx
    2.) open UAWEA.exe.cfg
    3.) type a # at the beginning of the line -> < Liveconfig xmlns="schemas.microsoft.com/XBOX/LIVE/LIVECONFIG/2007/01" >
that it looks like this -> #< Liveconfig xmlns="schemas.microsoft.com/XBOX/LIVE/LIVECONFIG/2007/01" >
4.) Now start the trainer (without starting the UAWEA-CH-ON.bat!)
    5.) start the game
6.) now Windows will open an Error Message that the WindowsLive function is disabled and you are only able to play SinglePlayer. Klck OK and turn back to the Game.
    7.) Have Fun!

I only can say that it works on Vista 32bit with the newest Patch. I don't had to update drivers for my GraficCard or something.

I used notepad but when you save the file you need to save to desktop then delete the one in the game folder and replace with the one on decktop.
