Well it's that time of year, so let me know if you ski or snowboard, and what you like to do, how long you've been doing it, and where you go.
Well I'm a snowboarder and have been for almost 7 years. I'm classified as expert and love challenging myself with new double diamonds. I'm fairly good at jumps and can do most grabs and a few rotations, but would rather just scream down a 65º slope at really high speeds. Having moved to washington i now go to Mt.Spokane the most, but take the occasional trip to Swietzer, but this year shall be a good one, i've got trips set up to go to Big Sky Montana with my family, Baker Wa with my sister, and then Ferny Canada with my friends family...it's gunna be a fun year and i cant wait to get some sick pics up.
I snowboard at Ski Dubai - the world's first indoor ski slope. It's far from challenging, it's mainly aimed at people who are interested in learning how to ski/snowboard but never had the chance to do it inexpensively. Great for beginners, but not much of a challenge for veterans - but it's hell amazing to beat the summer heat where it can reach 50oC out here.
Oh, and I've been snowboarding for about a year and a half.
lol! awesome, i just recently watched Warren Millers new Film "Playground" and they sent two of their guys to Ski Dubai, it was funny cause like you said its mostly for begginers and here are these two Americans doing backflips, and rodeos, and 900's...it was pretty dang funny
Yeah, it's pretty good for tricks. There's this one huge dip where everyone jumps off, only to find a sharp exit, and another dip. I love it. I did a 360 the other day, and then a toe grab coming off the second jump. It was pretty sweet...
...then I accidentally went on the rail straight after, fell off, and got swiped by a beginner. He then fell down and started rolling for about 10m. I was LMAO, as were many around us.
